Something I always try to do for my students is incorporate music that they like into our lessons. I have students that know exactly the kind of music they like and the artists whose songs they want to learn. And there are others who have no idea who or what they like, but they just know they wanna learn to play guitar!

I spend a lot of time researching different music, either through general listening in my everyday life, watching videos on YouTube, or perusing through my growing library of repertoire and method books. I handpick music for each of my students and I think they appreciate learning what interests them. The most requested artist among my students is hands down, Taylor Swift.

There’s such a variety of genre, style, technique, and artistry in her music, which makes learning (and teaching!) her songs so interesting.

Here I’m sharing with you a new addition to my collection of downloadable PDFs, 55(!!!) easy melodies by Taylor Swift. I have selected and played through all of these songs so I know they’re accessible to beginners, or anyone who just wants to play the melody of their fav song.

The PDF is written out using guitar tablature, arranged by string number (melodies ranging from highest string to lowest string) and organized by album.
